Like I mentioned earlier, I love Greek myth retellngs! One series I've always to try for that reason, as well as the good humor thrown into the interpretation, is the SIRENZ series by Charlotte Bennardo and Natalie Zaman. Why if I wasn't wading through disastrous amounts of tbr goodness, I'd so be on this series. One character, however, Hades, has insisted he be a part of today's celebrations and begin bring you over to his side as he runs for president. Char and Nat bring you a glimpse of Hades's campaign!
I know, I know--you were expecting "Char" and "Nat." The authors who think they're so clever, circumventing my contracts, and promoting a victim image for poor Meg and Shar.
You're being deceived, mon amors.
And I think it's about time you heard my side. I've been quiet--for the most part. I AM, after all, a god and don't have to answer to anyone but I'm tired of having my good name AND reputation sullied. All too often I'm misrepresented and misquoted--so I'm going to set the record straight. I'm going to spread the word about my magnificence by doing you all a favor. I, Hades, am running for President. What better way to show the good mortals of the earth how honest, caring, and sensitive I really am?
What do I have to offer the American people, and the world, you ask? Ah, the possibilities are endless. We'll discuss that later.
But first, to illustrate my munificence and FAIRNESS (I could just make you vote for me--I am a god), I invite you to read Bennardo's and Zaman's version of events. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think of my Hautness Platform, and enter to win a superb prize pack that includes BOTH volumes of the Sirenz memoirs, and some earthly trinkets. This giveaway is international--the President DOES have far reaching (for mortals) influence!
Leave your email address and I'll make sure my minions see to it that you get some campaign paraphernalia. Keep an eye on thesirenz.com for campaign news and updates--I'll be taking over THAT little venture as well.
god-Bless,
Hades

Hades, the god of the underworld, forces bickering frenemies Meg and Shar to become special-assignment Sirens. Finding the delicate balance between their old and new responsibilities turns out to be harder than they expected, especially when an entire pantheon of Greek deities decides to get involved.

You guys, I've seen the bookmarks with Hades face and he looks utterly charming, yet I sense deviousness, too. Thanks so much, Char, Nat, and Hades! Comment down below if you've traveled to the Greek underworld or you know someone who wants to.
