Sweet baby aliens! Daemon says it's ON.

My friends, I have the pleasure of once again showing off another cover in the cracktastic Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. This is not, I'm afraid, the last in the series, though I think I'd feel better if it was (my methods to take on the anxiety are just NOT HAPPENING). BUT. It looks spicy. When you look at this, what do you see?

Besides the obvious sex appeal, with the hair and the chest and the wide-open leather jacket... I see a very angry hot alien about to blow shit up. Everywhere. With no remorse. I fear for those who would be foolish enough to take on Daemon post-YOUKNOWWHAT. This cover says to me, go up against my fierce eyes and all my muscles I DARE YOU, but I warn you: you will die.
Daemon will do anything to get Katy back.
Uh, yeah. We know. It's all over the scorched earth and blazing buildings.
After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. Taking out anyone who stands in his way? Done. Burning down the whole world to save her? Gladly. Exposing his alien race to the world? With pleasure.
Are we really calling that raid successful? Really? Because, yeah, the objective was met, but a man (or in this case woman) on the team was lost. Not my definition of success. Taking out anyone standing in Daemon's way? I'm down for that. Shoot, I'll hold his new leather jacket. Burning down the world? Er, I might be a little worried about that one, you know, 'cause we're all part of the world and stuff and would not benefit from it's destruction. But if we're all bunking at Daemon's for the duration, I'm game. Exposing the alien race? Not so sure that's a good idea. I mean, just think of all the bibles and Welcome to Earf signs there'd be *shudders*.
All Katy can do is survive.
Oh, come on, girlfriend, it can't be that bad. You were only kidnapped by nasty aliens and nastier people who want to use all the aliens and are all very maniacal and can cause you near-insurmountable pain... Oh, wait.
Surrounded by enemies, the only way she can come out of this is to adapt. After all, there are sides of Daedalus that don’t seem entirely crazy, but the group’s goals are frightening and the truths they speak even more disturbing. Who are the real bad guys? Daedalus? Mankind? Or the Luxen?
Katy, sweetie, they just want you to think that they're not completely batshit. It's part of their process. They make you think all they want to do is hold hands and sing kumbaya and THAT'S HOW THEY GET YOU. Then when you get out you're going to question everything you believed to be true and I'm going to be really pissed off. I better not have just guessed the plot line.
Together, they can face anything.
Eh, I thought so. But after the ending of the last book, I think I need some convincing to be sure. Maybe with more sexytimes?
But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on? And will they even be together?
The last thing we need right now is a masked villain. And, honestly, who can it be that hasn't been suspected or accused already? Maybe... KATY'S MOM. That lady is suspect. Working all those late nights, probably pretending to be a nurse. I wouldn't be surprised. Or that one alien guy that barely gets any page time. Or... I don't know, the possibilities are literally all over the place. WHO COULD IT BE? Armentrout is a sneaky byotch.

Will they even be together? Uh, they had better be after all the crap we fans have been put through. I would not appreciate a spontaneous breakup right now.

Release date is August 27th. WHAAAA? I don't want to wait that long. *wails*

OPAL by Jennifer L. Armentrout Cover Reveal

There are only a few things that would make me come out of doing nothing hiding and replaying Ocarina of Time whilst drinking too much Crush and ignoring my homework after pondering the meaning of life for an hour mysterious seclusion stuff. Dark chocolate, a million dollars, aliens, free things, groundbreaking news, tall aliens, something the CW 11 did, THE NEW HOBBIT TRAILER, green-eyed aliens, and aliens. Basically, I was offered an obscene amount of money to do what I'm about to do and...

Alright, you got me. Aliens. It's aliens, okay?

Ya'll, I'm one of the bloggers bestowed with the honor of revealing to you the third book in one of the hottest, alien-fab series around. Obsidian started it all and Onyx cranked up the sexy until it began to border painfully instead of deliciously unbearable. Well, ladies and Westley, the Lux goodness is continuing for another installment. Take a look:

No one is like Daemon Black.

When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn’t fooling around. Doubting him isn’t something I’ll do again, and now that we’ve made it through the rough patches, well... There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.

But even he can’t protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.

After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

Together we’re stronger... and they know it.
