What Had Happened Was

This Song Will Save Your Life by Leila Sales

"...is an unassuming gem that I’m terrified people will overlook, a contemporary book with an odd synopsis that leaves you with only the tiniest hint of what is really undertaken in this book."

The Avery Shaw Experiment by Kelly Oram

"I had so much incredible fun with this story! If I could copy and paste every single bookmarked page for your benefit, I would completely."

Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake by Sarah MacLean

"I am late to the metaphoric party, I know, but I have just discovered the wondrous delights of Sarah MacLean, and all because of a stray kindle deal that caught my eye. "

The Next Best Thing by Kristan Higgins

"Now, was I blown away by exemplary writing? No. Excellent plotting? Uh-uh. What Higgans seems to excel at, though, is the voice of her main character and characterizing every individual in that MC's life."

Of Beast and Beauty by Stacey Jay

"Stacey Jay writes like a lavish storyteller, every sumptuous word and beautiful phrase not added for flourish but to better paint the picture she wishes you to see more than read."
