AUTUMN BOOK TAG

Because I haven't posted anything in a little bit. Tomorrow is about some predictions I have about book three in the Throne of Glass series, but beyond that I'm a little tapped out. The good news is that I'm slowly feeling the reading slump dissipate.

I'm actually hoping to get some reading done tonight! Cheer me on!

A CASE OF TEABS: GOODBYE MORGANVILLE!

Before the publicists at Penguin get inclined to homicide me, I'd like to disclose that this is in no way me disclosing anything specific about the happenings of Daylighters by Rachel Caine or a legitimate form of promotion. Instead I give you my pre-reaction to the upcoming reaction post.

Because mom knows I need an outlet for the emotional catastrophe in my body keeping me from engaging properly in daily life. A series ender, for crying out loud! Did you really expect anything else from me? My mother sure didn't.

Someone was able to capture me PTS-ing it out in the shower.

It wasn't even that the ending was terrible. Because it isn't. In fact, I loved the font-face off that ending!

But it wasn't until I got to the end that I realized what had just happened. That that was it; there would be no more updates on Bob the Spider, Myrnin's slippers, Eve's barista life, Michael's performing, Claire's accidents in the name of science, Shane's cooking... I just.

All this emotion snuck up on me as if waiting for the opportunity to strangle me with everything I've been denying myself ('cause, you know, #readingslumpissues). It had to be Morganville.

WHY IS IT OVER? Someone make me understand.

A TRUTH REVEALED: ASH ISN'T MY REAL NAME

Puh-lease, Miley, this can't be the most shocking thing you've seen. Or done.

But seriously guys, I've been thinking about it and why am I still pulling a Dread Pirate Roberts? The reason I began with Asher Knight three years ago when I started my blog was because of all the internet danger campaigns they'd been doing at my school. Not to mention the fact that if anyone knew I was book blogging--you know, should this anonymous tormenter ever decide to google my name--I didn't want to be considered uncool for doing it. This name I'd invented became a shield and an opportunity. An opportunity to develop this persona into someone I actually wanted to be.

Well, I don't need to hide anymore. I don't want to care about anyone stumbling across my book blog or my channel. So I'm taking a step.

My name is Amara, but people who are down with me call me Mara. And you can call me that too.
