In My Kindle is going to be a weekly companion meme to The Story Siren's In My Mailbox. The whole purpose of this new feature is for ebook lovers to be able to discuss nothing but the ebooks bought (or won, or acquired for free)! Note: If you'd like to use the above graphic, please comment below and I will edit the post with the code.
Amazon Freebies
I have yet to actually buy any ebooks. But, what's the point, when you can hunt down free ones on Amazon? You can actually find a whole list of bestselling free ebooks here. Comment if you need any help.
So, here's what I got this week my fellow book readers:
She Walks in Beauty by Siri Mitchell: "For a young society woman seeking a favorable marriage in the late 1890s, so much depends on her social season debut. Clara Carter has been given one goal: secure the affections of the city's most eligible bachelor. Debuting means plenty of work--there are corsets to be fitted, dances to master, manners to perfect. Her training soon pays off, however, as celebrity's spotlight turns Clara into a society-page darling. Yet Clara wonders if this is the life she really wants, especially when she learns her best friend has also set her sights on Franklin De Vries. When a man appears who seems to love her simply for who she is, and gossip backlash turns ugly, Clara realizes it's not just her heart at stake--the future of her family depends on how she plays the game." The Sword Lord (The Fifth Planet #1) by Robert Leader: "A planet faces destruction. An ancient Indian kingdom is doomed to the same fate. The solution to both troubles lies in the Law of the Sword. They came from Dooma, the fifth planet in the solar system. A planet destined to destroy itself in the holocaust war. They came in separate expeditions, each one seeking refuge on the third planet, the only other inhabitable body. They came in the dawn of time, when the Earth was young, to discover an ancient India, where the kingdom of Karakhor fought its own deathly struggle with the massed forces of Maghalla and their allies of sub-human tribes. So begins a love story: for Kananda, the First Prince of Karakhor and Zela, his golden-haired goddess from the stars-and for his sister, Maryam, the rebellious princess fated to love and be loved by Raven, blue-skinned Sword Lord of Ghedda. Warning, this title contains the following: violence, rape." Amazon»»
The Wild Sight by Loucinda McGary : "Sensual romantic suspense set in Ireland featuring a hero with psychic powers.
Cursed with the Irish clairvoyance known as "The Sight," Donovan O'Shea fled to America to escape his "gift." Fifteen years later, his father's illness has forced him to return to the family homestead where years earlier, Donovan's mother disappeared into the fens and was never seen again. Now the same fens are offering up secrets, both ancient and recent, and restoring a terrible legacy that just may drive him mad. And if this were not trouble enough, a beautiful woman walks into his life, claiming to be his half-sister.
Rylie Powell never knew her real father. Her mother would only say he was a charming Irishman who seduced her, married her, and then abandoned her and his baby daughter. But after her mother's death, Rylie finds tantalizing clues about her father that send her off to Northern Ireland and an archeological site on Dermot O'Shea's property, the man listed on her birth certificate as her father.
Did Dermot O'Shea father both Donovan and Rylie?
What is Donovan's connection to the Celtic High King Niall of the Nine Hostages?
And what secrets do the fens hold that invites murder?" Amazon»»
Sadly, I failed to pick up many ebooks this week. Being that you have to watch the freebies list, or check on it pretty often to see if it's possible to snag new reads, I didn't bother much this week. Though, I'm most excited to read Wild Sight. So, what did you get in your kindle/e-reader this week, ladies and males? Let me know. :D
Before you go, be sure to check out my giveaway and contest for J.R. Turner's Extreme Hauntings series at my post called Detour 2 Death Blog Tour Contest & Giveaway!

Asher, cool idea! I love the little button you made for this feature.
I always forget to talk about the books I get on my Kindle. I'm trying to be better at spotlighting them. I got She Walks in Beauty too. Yay!
Happy e-reading!
Oh, thank you, Missie! It's so funny because I remember how hard it was to get my camera angle just right to fit in my Kindle and those books... And I know what you mean. It would happen to me too.*high fives* That makes two of us! SHE WALKS IN BEAUTY sounds awesome!
And same to you, Missie! Happy blogging and have a great Sunday!
I love how many good free books you can find on Kindle these days. I tend to get crazy with it and fill up my reader just because they're free, though, so I have to keep an eye on myself. :)
@logan--I know the feeling. When I stalk that freebie list, I pile on like ten reads minimum per week. It's addictive.
