I love making wishes

Hi, welcome to Paranormal Indulgence! WoW is hosted by Breaking the Spine every Wednesday, to share what we're all waiting for as far as novel releases and put emphasis on blogger interaction. Here for "Waiting on..." Wednesday, I've got 2 picks for you to browse through and totally fall in love with.

Vanish (Firelight #2) by Sophie Jordan
Release Date: Sept. 6, 2011 (Hardcover)
Publisher: HarperTeen
Pages: 304
"To save the life of the boy she loves, Jacinda did the unthinkable: She betrayed the most closely-guarded secret of her kind. Now she must return to the protection of her pride knowing she might never see Will again—and worse, that because his mind has been shaded, Will’s memories of that fateful night and why she had to flee are gone.

Back home, Jacinda is greeted with hostility and must work to prove her loyalty for both her sake and her family’s. Among the few who will even talk to her are Cassian, the pride’s heir apparent who has always wanted her, and her sister, Tamra, who has been forever changed by a twist of fate. Jacinda knows that she should forget Will and move on—that if he managed to remember and keep his promise to find her, it would only endanger them both. Yet she clings to the hope that someday they will be together again. When the chance arrives to follow her heart, will she risk everything for love?

In bestselling author Sophie Jordan’s dramatic follow-up to Firelight, forbidden love burns brighter than ever.

Now, I know what I said about not being totally in love with Firelight, the first book in this - I'm assuming - series.But, I didn't say a thing about not loving the covers! The first one was gorgeous! But this one... is A-FREAKIN'-MAZING!!! It's so, so beautiful. Even if it turns out not to be great, I'd still buy it just for the cover. Look at it! Gosh, I'm in cover lust...

Lost in Time (Blue Bloods #6) by Melissa de la Cruz
Release Date: Oct. 4, 2011 (Hardcover)
Publisher: Hyperion
"'Lost In Time' picks up with Schuyler Van Alen and her love Jack Force forced to go their separate ways after their trip to Florence. She must travel to Alexandria to fulfill the Van Alen legacy by searching for Catherine of Siena and the Gate of Promise, while he returns to the Big Apple to face his twin sister (and former bondmate) Mimi. Things get even more complicated when Mimi jets off to Egypt to find her former lover Kingsley Martin, all while the Coven threatens to fall apart around her. Just another day on the Upper East Side, no? Go here to learn more!"

I really like this cover! Don't love it, but like it a lot I do. The reason I'm so psyched for this one, though, is because I'm a HUGE Blue Bloods fan. HUGE. Like with capital letters... which I've just demonstrated... twice. Please, please, Melissa, if you can hear (read) me right now, please bring back Kingsley Martin!! I beg of thee!

And that concludes this week's Waiting on Wednesday (rofl!)! Thanks for stopping by the blog, and I'll be sure to get back to you as soon as possible!

@abeautifulmadness,
We're in the same boat. Cannot wait for Lost in Time. And thanks!

@Christy,
I didn't enjoy Firelight as much as I'd hoped to, but it's still a pretty good read. And Vanish looks excellent, so hopefully it goes well for me the second time in reading Jordan's works.

@Logan,
Not true! You tend to read a good mix of books that have hype surrounding it and ones that aren't heard of very often. A good blend, in my opinion. I am looking forward to reading about what you think, though.
