Wildefire by Karsten Knight

As soon as I was done with Wildefire, I just knew I had to have it. If you haven't already read it, you need to do that right now. I'm pretty sure I can convince you if you read my review. :)

   

Eve by Anna Carey

Based off of Goodreads reviews, some people didn't like it and some people loved it. It reminds me a little bit of The Forest of Hands and Teeth and Delirium, so I wonder if I'll enjoy this one as much as I did the aforementioned titles. It's got a fantastic cover, so hopefully the book will be just as delightful as it is to look at. Thank you NetGalley!

Supernaturally by Kiersten White (!asdjkflkdjsf<3OMGkaf)

I read the first, like, forty pages of this book on HarperTeen's preview option of the book, and even though I could've read thirty more, I just couldn't bear the agony anymore. It was pure torture, reading some of it and not being able to finish it, so I had to stop. Paranormalcy was one of those books, for me, that you liked the first time you read it but didn't appreciate it as much as when you reread it. I'm in total, non-stop love with this series, so I cannot WAIT to start reading this.

Bleeding Violet by Dia Reeves

If you haven't read my review where I gush over this book, then you should probably do that so that you can understand why I'm so freaking HAPPY to have this book in my possession. This book was one of my favorite reads of this year; the craziness is truly addictive. And my bookshelf would not be complete without it! I'm so glad to have total access to it whenever I want to pick it up again.

Drought by Pam Bachorz

I was so mad when my local library demanded I return this book back to them. They, of course, didn't seem to understand that I have a sometimes insurmountable amount of books to get to, so I couldn't return this exactly on time. After a while the fee started to get a little too high, so I had to return it before I got the chance to actually read it. Well, take that librarians of Danforth Library! :P I get to read it anyway, so ha.

Wolfsbane by Andrea Cremer

Is anyone else pissed off about the change in covers for this series?!! It's so plain and boring now. And since there's so much shading, most of the book is covered in black. Worse, now this book doesn't match the first book. What is with these people? Did they not see that the cover of the first book, and what I'd presumed would be the second one, is gorgeous and was probably the main reason why I started reading this series in the first place?! 

I'm Team Ren, but from what I've heard, with all of the reviews out now, he doesn't show up very frequently in this book. I am NOT happy. I'll have to read this one and see if I want to finish the series. 

Dragon's Oath by P.C. Cast & Kristin Cast

I am a BIG fan of the House of Night series, and an even bigger Team Stark supporter, though I don't think I've really reviewed any of the HoN books on the blog. I read most of them before I started PI, I guess. Anyway, my collection of these books would've been incomplete if I hadn't gotten this new novella. But, sadly, before I can read this one, I have to read Awakened, the eighth book in the series. Once a series starts getting long, I tend to pull away more. Especially if I'm attached to the characters, because it's more likely that something bad will happen to them. And I just can't take the anxiety. Weird, right? I'll get to it... eventually.

Enclave by Ann Aguirre

I've heard SOOO many good things about this book, and I've mentioned around the blog a time or two that I've recently discovered an obsession with zombies. So basically this is like the perfect book for me. Not to mention the fact that I LIVE for war/battling/fighting, constantly in need of it, and this sounds like a great book to turn to for just that.

(This was all possible thanks to my incredible mother, who took notice that I hadn't given her credit for this amazing book haul! Sorry, Mom!)

The library was good to me on my b-day:

I'm so happy to be back in my hometown, and one of the reasons why is because of the library situated here. I forgot just how pretty it is and how vast the young adult section is. My mouth dropped open as soon as I entered and didn't close until I started walking out. I couldn't believe my luck!

Moonglass by Jessi Kirby

Readers have said that this is extremely appropriate for summer and that it's a good read all around. On the back cover there's a quote from the book that says, "I read once that water is a symbol for emotions. And for a while now I've thought maybe my mother drowned in both."  If all of the writing in Moonglass is like that, then I'm definitely going to like it. Plus, Sarah Dessen praised the book so that can only be a positive sign.

Princess for Hire by Lindsey Leavitt

A combination of two things made me pick up Princess for Hire: I requested the sequel, The Royal Treatment, on NetGalley and received a galley AND Small Review's Spotlight List: Faves of 2011 (so far). Smalls had nothing but good (and funny) things to say about this sparkle-drenched series, so I'm willing to give it a shot. (It doesn't hurt that I just so happen to like pink... a lot.)

Fairy Bad Day by Amanda Ashby

Is that not a very clever title? I thought so. I've been DYING to read Fairy Bad Day since my Covetable Covers (2): Wings and Things post. It sounds a bit like Hex Hall by Rachel Hawkins, and I hope I love it just as much! So far, I haven't heard anyone say it's terrible :)

The Iron Thorn by Caitlin Kittredge

All I can say is that this looks like a thrilling and exciting dysptopian read that I can't wait to delve into!

Dead Rules by Randy Russell

A few weeks ago, Mundie Moms wrote a great review for this one and the aspect I found most intriguing was the mention of a Dead School... I was like, whaaaa? I'd never heard of anything like that before--a place where still-in-school teens appear how they died and they learn how to control their cool, otherwordly powers. And I LOVE THAT COVER. Just sayin'.

The Vampire Stalker by Alison Van Diepen

Vampires come to life from inside of a BOOK...?! I keep thinking about what would happen if, say, Edward Cullen hopped out of Twilight and became a real boy. But then that might be a bad thing since the Volturi would be real, and so would vamps like Victoria and James... bad news for humans. I can't imagine what's going to happen to Amy, though, when Alexander eventually has to go back into the world of the book. Reminds me a bit of an anime I love!
